Pet Sitter in Miami, Florida

I am a veterinary technician at Derks Animal Clinic in Miami, Florida. I have 8 years experience in a veterinary clinic setting: 6 years as an assistant and 2 years as a technician. I love all animals and I am capable of caring for both cold and warm blooded companions. My passion for animal care developed at a very young age and I have been involved with zoo programs in middle school and began volunteer work in clinics in high school , where I was hired at 17. I have valued and continue to value my experience in veterinary clinics as I have treated all kinds of patients, from assisting in emergency surgery to tube feeding snakes. I understand the husbandry of cats and dogs as well as exotics such as rabbits and snakes. As far as pet-sitting I am comfortable staying in a client's home or simply stopping by to feed and care for any special needs of the animal (i.e giving insulin injections or sustaining any other medical schedule prescribed by a doctor). It is all up to the client. I do work full time with every other Wednesday off and my weekends are flexible. Pet sitting cats and dogs would include play time and for dogs an hour walk (or a modified walk for elderly dogs). The walking is entirely up to the client, but I am happy to exercise them. Depending on the client's proximity to my work, I can stop in during my lunch hour to let them out, otherwise I would come to the house directly after work and stay with them. In the event of an emergency I can bring the pet to my clinic or a veterinarian of the client's choice.
