My name is Courtney and I am a MD/PhD student at UNC Chapel Hill. In 2012, I began offering house and pet services in Chapel Hill; over the years, these opportunities has been an incredible way for me to meet local families and to grow relationships with them while also supporting my education. I grew up with a variety of pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, etc.) and after high school I work for 2 years as a vet tech with a county animal shelter. I have a lot of experience with animals and I am comfortable taking care of almost any breed and demeanor. I have advanced training in managing the ill and well needs of both cats and dogs; offering basic care needs (food, companionship, exercise, play, bathing, vet appointment transportation, etc.) for all animals and specific medical care needs for cats and dogs (ex. oral meds, injection meds, eye/ear drops, glucose monitoring, IV fluids, etc.) I offer check-in, walking, and boarding services; as well as house sitting. I am happy to stay overnight at your home with your pet or to bring your pet to my 2 bedroom duplex in Chapel Hill; I live with my husband and our cat, Lance (who takes a private vacation in our second bedroom when we have furry guests). Lance is an extremely laid back cat and I have boarded several dogs in the last year without issue.
