I have had dogs in and around my life since I was 8 years old, caring for and training my own dogs for most of it as well as looking after others’ dogs. My friends and family refer to me as a caring dog mom. I understand the importance of diet, exercise, and playtime for dog’s mental and physical health and how to recognize basic warning signs of illness. I am comfortable around all dog breeds and understand the different temperaments, and how to read the body language of canines. I have also been approved by Rover as a dog walker. I am currently taking a course on Dog Cognition and Emotion online from Duke University, and I have also consulted with certified dog trainers to extend my dog training knowledge beyond basic obedience. I have level 1 occupational (human) first aid which I scored 100% on and I hope to undergo K9 First Aid too. I keep myself updated on the industry especially when it comes to food, equipment, and the environment, to keep my dog safe. I am bondable and willing to undergo required criminal and background checks as needed.
