Pet Sitter in Reno, Nevada

I'm an
Individual
My name is Stephanie and I would love the opportunity to pamper, play with, walk, and love your beloved pets! It's A Pet's Life is licensed, bonded, and insured, and provides professional, quality, loving care of your precious family members in the comfort of their own home. In addition to in-your-home care I provide companionship in the form of walking and play time, pet "taxi" for trips to the groomer, veterinarian or other destinations, basic home care and house sitting (even for those of you without pets), and much more! My service covers all types of pets - dogs and cats, reptiles, mice and rats, birds, chickens, fish, etc. I have a true and deep love for all animals. Since I was a very young girl I knew I wanted to work with animals, which is why I pursued an education in Animal Science. I spent five years working as a licensed veterinary technician and have a great deal of experience in internal medicine and oncology. I was also able to work in neurology, orthopedic surgery, and soft tissue surgery. These experiences set me apart because I know signs to look for in a healthy and happy pet, and am likely to spot possible illness or injury. If your pet requires medical care in your absence, I am able to speak professionally with your veterinarian and help you to understand what might be going on with your precious family member. With my strong veterinary background I am able to professionally administer wound care, medications orally or subcutaneously, and can assist with the therapy needed for your pet recovering from surgery. I offer professional, and most importantly loving, care of your pets in the comfort of their own home. I can promise that when I am with your pet they will receive the same love and quality of care that you would give. SERVICES: A complimentary "meet and greet" is required for all new clients prior to receiving service. This will allow me an opportunity to meet and interact with your pet, review all care instructions, learn where things are, obtain door keys, and review necessary forms with you. This usually takes 30 to 60 minutes and ensures the best care for your pet, and that your expectations are met. Private Dog Walking / Back Yard Play Time If you're having a hard time keeping up with your active dogs exercise needs, or just want to provide some excitement, companionship and a potty break for your pet while you're away or throughout the day, I can help! I will come to your home, leash your pet, and take them on a fun-filled walk. Alternatively, your pet and I can engage in backyard playtime that is perfect for older pets or those that just need an extra potty break during the day. The benefits of regular walking are abundant! Daily walks help keep your pet healthy, agile, and limber, promote a healthy weight (especially when combined with diet management), can help reduce or eliminate behavior problems such as chewing or digging and anxiety, and relieves boredom, hyperactivity and pent up energy. Your pet will love getting out for some healthy exercise and you'll love coming home to a happier, calmer pet! Dog Walking rates are per walk, maximum of two dogs at a time (dependent upon size) and may be adjusted depending upon location. Backyard playtime is for an unlimited number of pets. Pet Sitting This service is great for when you are away on business or vacation, for any period of time. Depending upon the needs of your pet I will provide one, two, or three visits per day. Three visits would include an early morning visit, mid-day visit, and an extended evening visit so that your pet can stay on the routine they are used to, in the comfort of their own home. These visits will include fresh water, food, medication administration if needed, play and cuddle time, pet cleanup, and home care such as bringing in the mail, watering plants, trash and recycling management, and adjusting blinds and lights. House Sitting Even if you don't have a pet, or are taking your pet with you, I will make sure that your home is taken care of and looks lived in while you are away. Your mail, packages, and flyers will be taken in, your trash and recycling will be taken to the curb and removed as needed, plants will be watered, lights and blinds will be adjusted, and a safety walk-through will be performed to ensure that doors and windows are locked. Snow removal from the driveway and walkways is an optional add-on service too! Specialty Services Pet "Taxi" - I will provide safe, comfortable, and timely transportation of your pet to the groomer, family member's home, day care, airport, or anywhere else they need to go! I can drop your pet off at the veterinarian or attend a visit with them, and can provide return transportation when it's time to go home again. Home Waiting - Do you have a difficult time scheduling home maintenance or repairs, an install of your new cable service, furniture delivery, and the like? Well I am here to help with this too! I will happily wait for your scheduled service provider or delivery, and will remain on-site throughout the service if needed. Errand-Running - This is perfect for absolutely anyone, from busy professionals to busy senior citizens, those suffering from an illness or injury, recovering from surgery, or anyone that may have trouble getting around. Whatever the reason, if you find yourself wishing for longer days, or a little more time to yourself or with loved ones, allow me to help. I will run any errands you may have, from picking up or dropping off your dry cleaning, retrieving medications from the pharmacy, grocery shopping, or anything else you may need. "Fine Print" Holiday Service Fees There is an additional charge of $5 per service on the following holidays: New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Pricing Prices are subject to change and may vary due to your individual needs, number of pets, distance traveled, etc. A custom quote will be provided during the meet and greet.
