Hello!! I am enthusiastic, passionate person looking to work with some amazing animals! With a combination of dedication, responsibility and experience, I can bring valuable skills to any animal care position. I have a vast amount of experience with many pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, rats and budgies! I also have valuable experience working directly with many different pets at Champlain Animal Hospital as well. As a student heading into my fourth year at Dalhousie University and pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a specialization and Certificate in Animal Behaviour, and a Minor in Biology I have gained valuable knowledge and experience with animals. During my independent research project I had the opportunity to train sniffer dogs to smell stress in human breath and sweat samples. After doing this project for two years now, I have gained considerable skill in handling, and training many dogs. I also completed an internship at the Shades of Hope wildlife rehabilitation centre in 2015 involving lots of animal care work. I took part in many jobs ranging from cleaning, medicating, feeding etc. This makes me very versatile in my skill set, and able to adapt to your pet's needs. I absolutely love working with animals and would appreciate any opportunity to do so. As a loving pet owner, I understand the importance of knowing your pet is happy, healthy and in good hands.
