Pet Sitter in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Hi there my name is Cathy. I have loved animals since before I could walk. I grew up in a small town one hour outside of Winnipeg. My dad was a hobby farmer who kept cows, pigs, chickens, doves, pigeons and assortment of other animals. I would make a pet out of any type of animal. I moved to Winnipeg back in 2000 to attend post secondary education and found myself missing the farm. I ended up volunteering at a no animal rescue called Darcy's ARC for approximately 6 years walking dogs, cleaning out animal enclosures, feeding, assisting with medicating and socializing cats along with upkeep of the store and shelter. My place at the time did not allow for pet but found out that we were allowed a bird. I then adopted a less then six month old cockatiel named Fancy. She was the light of my life and baby until last summer when passed away. She will be missed by both myself and all who knew her. Her passing was a difficult time in my life. I am not quite ready to adopt a new fur baby but would love to help others to take care of their family members. I will treat them with the most love and care as if they were my own.
