Pet Sitter in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Hello, My name is Kristine Benson. Originally from Fresno, California. Been living in my home in Edgewood, Fort Lauderdale since 1998, love it. Big safe fenced yard, plenty of room to run. Always have had cherished pets. Dogs, cats and one brother have a gopher snake. The snake was itself was ok, but when I found out he fed it live rodents I was horrified, stayed away and finally got him to free it in the hills, home, where it belonged. I have 3 dogs of my own. 2 dachshunds and an French poodle, this one came from a friend who lost her sight and could no longer care for it. All are of course spayed. The poodle wasn't, but very soon after was, was not a good thing for neighbor dogs. Love big dogs, but small house. No cats at this time, but have cared for many. I am a member of PETA, ASPCA, etc. One of the best days in my recent past a was able to return a lost dog to a neighbor. A neighbor found it and gave it to us knowing we would get it back home. Posted in Neighborhood and when taking it to see if it was chipped, received a call from another member who had run into the owner, and sure enough she answered to her name. Got her back to the little girl who had been crying all night because her doggie was lost. Great feeling. Have been working for the last 30 years has been a field service tech for ADT Security, residential and small business. Which entailed going into approximately 6 homes a day to repair alarm systems. Met a lot of nice people and their pets. We were supposed to have the customers put all their pets away when we were in the house. I had a hard time doing that, so left that up to their owners. In 30 yrs. I had only one problem dog and he was caged, in the kitchen, but not very well, broken latch. That Rottweiler crashed right out of there and came straight for me, which is why they had him, bad neighborhood. All I could do was stand and put my arms across myself and they caught him in mid air a foot away from my neck, lucky I was. And I was scratched by a cat once, she was in a bad mood, had cancer. No problem. I was leaving a customers home once and noticed a loose dog, set my tools down and slowly walked up and was able to pet her and she had a tag on thank goodness and was hot and thirsty. Got her some water and put her inside my work truck with the ac on and gave her Mom a call. She was there in 10 minutes and got doggie back home, another good day. Retired now and at home most always and if not me, spouse is. My home or yours. Animals seem to take a liking to me. And I to them. I am 57 yrs. old in good health, mind, spirit and body, non smoker and would love to spend time taking care of and having a pleasurable experience with any pet, pets of any sort. And I would of course do my utmost to keep your family pet happy and healthy in your absence. Sincerely, Kristine
