Pet Owner in Dallas

Good morning Everyone! I am getting married!! With that said.... My Fiance and I will be going out of town next summer, end of May through beginning of June. (1-2 weeks still not definite) We are looking for a pet-sitter, doesn't need to be the most experienced just someone who has the time to take care of our kiddos. And someone with alot of patience! We would prefer that the person caring for our dogs has them at their place, not ours. We have 3 dogs but this post will refer to two and my pup can be watched by another person. The reason is because my female Dachshund and female Pup don't always get along and I dont want to burden someone should something occur. If you feel you can take all 3, please see my other post about my pup. And here comes the tons of information about our pups... it seems like alot but trust me... its not! Bella is a 7 year old Cocker Spaniel/ Dachshund Mix. Chester is an 8 year old long haired Dachshund. Background on my pups: Bella is a dog who loves... LOVES to bark at anything and everything. She loves to play ball all day everyday. Bella is ok with dogs but for the most part, she prefers the company of her doggie siblings. Chester is afraid of cats and dogs but he loves to sleep. That is all he does is sleep and would love to be on someones lap at all times. My dogs have some separation anxiety but will settle down after a while in the persons home. Pet sitters home CANNOT have: -Children under the age of 8- our dogs are afraid of little kids -Other pets - Bella, our girl is OK with pets but we rescued Chester from a puppy mill situation and he is very afraid of other animals still. We would prefer our 2 be the only 2 during this stay. They are potty trained BUT they will not ask for the door, we usually let them out ever 2 hours or so just to make sure they do their business outside.. Unless you have a doggy door as I do and they use it quite well. Bella and Chester are kennel trained if you have to leave anywhere, and are good for about 8 hours. The only requirement is they get a treat when put into their Kennels. But.. .they will bark for a few minutes until they are certain the house is empty and then they just go to sleep. The dogs are fed once in the morning and once in the evening. We allow all of the dogs on furniture and to sleep in our bed but its your house so your preference of course! If you do allow pets in your bed and it is a high rise, I have a pet ramp and we would be more than happy to provide it. Bella and Chester are my babies and I am sure you understand my fear and concern when leaving them with others. BUT I am extremely hopeful that we will find someone or someone will find us to take good care of them for a few days as if they were their own. Please contact me at anytime if you are interested in meeting our dogs and becoming what we hope will be our go to dog sitter. Even if you feel you are not "qualified" enough, please contact me anyway. Sometimes those who do not have what some consider are good qualifications or a certain amount of reviews/clients are just as wonderful as those who have done this for 20 years! :) THANK YOU! Katie S.
