Small Dog Walking company in need of a flexible individual who loves dogs (cat visits as well), and would like to work as a PART-TIME DOG WALKER. You must have excellent time management and self supervising skills, have at least 3 professional and 2 personal references. Regular walks are from 12pm-4pm, plus occasional visit times in the early mornings and early evenings, as needed. Days: Thursdays & Fridays ONLY. If you can occasionally pick up walks on M-W in this same route/time frame, that is a plus. Pay Breakdown = estimated $14/hour (starting from 12pm and ending at around 4pm, if all pets are scheduled). Additional payment for additional bookings, etc. This is fitting for someone who wants to supplement their current income. Additional requirements: * Must own an android based smart phone or an iPhone (have an email/text plan, no prepaid phones) * Excellent at communicating several times on a daily basis * Willing to work with my GPS tracking software and provide updates, as well as check-in/check-out login. * Available for walks regularly between 11:45pm-5pm M-F, but also available on some weekends and evenings. Be sure to specify your availability in your cover letter. * Good writing skills are required for this job. Be sure to write a cover letter (shouldn't be too long, but should describe your current resident location, your history with animals, and your reasons for wanting to be a dog walker). * Good public transportation navigating skills (some routes require regular commuting to different territories/areas so having an unlimited Metro Card is ESSENTIAL to most routes. You must provide your own MetroCard in order to get around, unless you have alternate modes of transportation such as bike/skateboard.) * College graduates or students preferred * You must be 21 years or older * Flexibility in scheduling and weather resilient * Common sense is essential as well as being able to think on your feet * There will be a background check * Able to lift up to 50 lbs * Strong english language skills * Intro to doggies/household will be required. Please do not waste my time if you cannot commit or are limited by physical and outdoor conditions. This is an easy job for the right person, you are required to be outdoors for long periods of time even under most extreme weather conditions such as humid summer days, rain and snow.
