I love animals and enjoy caring for all of them. I do, however, have a strong canine connection. I’ve had 7 shelter dogs since childhood, ranging in size from 65 lbs to 7 lbs and am comfortable around all breeds and sizes. I can’t imagine life without one. They all have been a bit spoiled but very well behaved. Although I’m not a professional all my dogs have been well trained. Dogs need affection, play, exercise and socialization. I believe that both animals and the people who love them respond best to kindness and respect. Each one has their own traits and personality that forms their relationship. The key is to see and understand that relationship and help them to grow stronger as a team. They are the ultimate companion and as hard as I work to train them they always have as much to teach me.
