Pet Sitter in Bloomington, Indiana

I grew up around many different animal species (dogs, cats, horses) and have been caring for and loving on animals since I can remember. Since I was young, I knew I felt most comfortable around animals. I actually plan on going to grad school to get a degree in wildlife biology/conservation in the near future. I also volunteered for a few years at WildCare Inc. and absolutely loved it. Just to clarify, I have a lifetime experience watching family pets, and around 10 years of actual professional experience for paying clients. A little bit about myself and my dog: I work at IU as Admin. I love to travel, cook, try exotic foods, and binge Netflix series unapologetically. I leave work everyday at noon to let out my pup and take him for at least a 30 minute walk per day. I have a pretty decent sized fenced in back yard for pups to play. I have a dog, Ziggy, who is my absolute best friend (Golden Ret / Border Collie mix). He's actually our departmental mascot and comes to the office with me quite a bit. I love taking him on hikes, car rides, to the dog park, etc. He's very friendly with humans, kids, and other dogs. I recently learned that he has hip dysplasia, which means he's not allowed to partake in strenuous activities like hiking. He takes medication for this, and I do some physical therapy on him from time to time. I'm hoping next year we can get started on his hip replacement surgeries. (UPDATE: Ziggy had his hip replacement surgery this August and is healing nicely. I won't be able to watch any pets at my house until the new year when Zig is completely healed). I have a lot of experience with these specific breeds (but am very much willing and open to watch any breed of dog or other animal): English Mastiffs, Bull Mastiffs, Great Danes, Golden Retrievers, Pit Bulls, Bulldogs. If your pet has any special needs, needs medications, or has dietary restrictions, please let me know. I've actually recently tried to steer away from feeding Ziggy processed foods (including dog kibble). He'll usually get veggies as a snack or a Greenie as a treat and I make his food in a crock pot (I know, I'm that dog mom). Just let me know any of your concerns or requests and I'll be happy to cater to them! I'd prefer to watch dogs at my own residence, since I have a dog of my own. I'd be happy and willing to set up a meeting beforehand to make sure the dogs get along well with one another. I'm looking forward to meeting your fur baby (and you of course!). *$30/day or $15/hr*
