Pet Sitter in Austin, Texas

Hi! I'm a native Austinite, an ex-english teacher, an ex-expatriate & and an AVID ANIMAL LOVER. I'm currently only working part-time while looking into grad schools, so I have PLENTY OF TIME to spend with your pets so they won't get lonely! I absolutely ADORE animals but unfortunately I can't have any at the moment as my apartment doesn't allow it... :-( That's good for you though, because it means there will be NO shortage whatsoever of cuddling, snuggling, petting, playing, and walking for your pets. :-) I grew up with many different types of pets, including cats, dogs, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, tarantulas, turtles, snakes, fish & hermit crabs... the only animal my parents would NEVER allow me to have (& I just couldn't understand why!) was a baby monkey. That's why we have parents. ;-) As an adult, I've always had a fur family of some type. And I volunteer sometimes at the Austin Humane Society. Long story short: I have quite a bit of animal experience. Daily Visits: Have a dog that gets antsy when she has to stay cooped up all day while you're at work? Let me entertain her. A cat that gets lonely when left alone for long periods of times? Let me pet him. Teeny Tiny rescue kittens that can't be left alone all day because they need bottle-feeding? I've raised several kittens who were bottle babies. A special-needs animal that shouldn't be left alone? Let me provide company as well as special-needs assistance, medication, etc. Pets that are intent on destroying your house/apartment while you're at work? Let me turn that destructive energy into something that doesn't cost you your pet deposit. Vacations: Having been a world traveler, I completely understand what it's like to leave your home & animals behind while you are elsewhere... the worry, the nervousness, the worst-case-scenario imagining... Don't let these feelings interfere with your trip! Leave knowing your animals (& home & plants!) are being carefully taken care of & watched over. Opt to receive daily (or every few days or whatever you prefer) emails or texts with updates, pictures, etc to soothe your worries. Feel secure knowing you can reach your house/pet sitter by phone or email any time of day while you're away. Live-in pet/house* sitter while you're away or daily visits with your pets. Leave your pets with the peace of mind that they are in Loving Responsible Hands. I consider my pets as 'part of the family', & I will treat your animals as I would my own. *House-sitting: I'm a responsible, clean, non-smoker & non-drinker who likes to spend her time reading, learning new things, listening to music & chilling in nature. I'm old enough to have had plenty of experience running a household & keeping things safe & secure yet young enough to take your dogs for a run to help them get that energy out! I like things to be clean & orderly (so you might come back to a house even more organized than you left it! only if you want of course...). I'm available for both short and long-term house/pet sitting. Live-in or daily visits.
