BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Reliable, responsible, and honest • Ability to handle and lift various breeds and sizes of dogs • Ability to communicate effectively with clients in person, via phone and/or text • Ability to drive in all weather conditions PET TAXI POSITION REQUIRES: • 1 or more years of experience working with animals – references will be checked • A working smartphone with internet access • Clean background and driving record PET TAXI JOB HIGHLIGHTS: • Independent - you travel to your client’s homes to transport their pets without direct oversight • Active job with majority of time spent outside of an office • Lots of doggie kisses and appreciative pet parents! (We assume that you do, or you wouldn't be reading all of this!). But beyond that, we look for someone who can master the THREE ASPECTS OF THIS JOB: Be great with the PETS! Lots of people say they love cats and dogs, but we like to see that someone really exudes that "I'm crazy about animals" vibe. The kind of person who stops to pet every dog on the sidewalk, and then has to remember to look up and say hi to the owner. (if this is you, we want to hear from you, pronto!) Be comfortable communicating with PEOPLE! We do a lot of emailing and texting among our drivers and clients, so we are looking for drivers who can get back to us promptly, courteously, and professionally. It goes without saying, but our business in built on TRUST, and communication is the key to that. Be adept at using TECHNOLOGY! You'll work off of an app which keeps track of your jobs each day and your mileage and earnings. Applicants need to have a signal-enabled smartphone (a phone that can function even with no available wifi) with enough data to handle the number of pictures, emailing and texting we do each day. Your basic iPhone 5-7 plus with 128g should be sufficient, so long as it has enough data on the plan. Android phones are good, too. In addition to these three elements, some other basic job requirements: US citizens or legally authorized to work in the US for at least the next 12 months. Pass a background check A local full-time resident of Palm Beach County Able to receive 1099 Be fluent in English, both speaking and written Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.
