Pet Sitter Job in Durango, Colorado

Looking for a caregiver for my 7 year old, 50#, border collie/blue heeler. Our family is going to Europe for 1-2 years and seek someone who would like a furry buddy. We can cover all his expenses plus and extra $100/month prepaid in 6 month intervals. Diego is a loyal dog who has been spoiled to grow up in Durango, CO. His favorite things in life are hiking, camping and chasing squirrels. Diego is protective but territorial which manifest in barking while wagging of his tail. He will only bark when someone is approaching his family. He loves to "secure the perimeter." He is very house trained, responds well to basic commands and can hear better when in the presence of treats. He hates being messed with or held still/down aka.vet However we just had him in last week for a full work over. His file is on hand and he has a clean bill of health (bloodwork, stool samples, vaccines, heart worm test, recently chipped and nails trimmed. Diego has a lot of personality and really aims to please and comfort his companion. He's pretty mellow in regards to playing. He doesn't seem as interested in playing with other dogs as he used to be but gets along well with other dogs at dog park etc.
