Pet Sitter Job in Rome, Georgia

Hello my name is Pam. I am interested in finding pet care in Rome for my parrots & dog. I have multiple parrots in my home and am in the market for someone who can help care for them when I am away. I am looking for a dependable care giver that I can use from time to time. Most of the time I would only need weekend coverage but occasionally it may be for longer. I work with a parrot rescue in Marietta and often have some of their birds in addition to my own flock. I need to find someone which can do the following things: Mornings: turn on the lights, prepare fresh foods (some chopping maybe involved) and water for each parrot; change out cage papers as needed; remove fresh foods from cage bottoms; distribute boxes and/or wood to cages for toys; sing/talk/greet etc. each parrot. Check on dry food and water for dog - no need to walk as she has a dog door to fenced in yard, but she loves attention. Evenings: gather bowls; sort leftovers into reuse, toss, or feed to dog; wash bowls; distribute pellets & nuts to each parrot; prep bowls for next day; turn out lights. For extended time care: bring in newspaper/mail; water plants; clean cages; move garbage bags into garage space For short weekend type trips the papers will not need to be changed out nor cages cleaned as I normally do major cage cleaning once a week with pressure washing as needed (monthly, etc.). Should there be a need for these services, I would expect additional charges to apply. I need a trustworthy honest person who does not have an avert fear of parrots. I am willing to train but prefer some experience with birds. I will provide labels and notes for referral for their care. Contact number will be provided for help from local and nearby bird folks.
