What We're Looking For: Hi! My name is Helen. I need a pig sitter available near Marietta, Georgia who is willing to care for a 187 lb potbelly pig in their home. He is very tame and affectionate, but will test you in the beginning so you need to be firm, but gentle. Services And Training: Our pig stays indoors most of the time and he sleeps a lot, but goes outside to eat and use the potty. He enjoys belly rubs and has several toys he likes to play with. He likes to be covered up with his blanket when he sleeps and you will need to tuck him in at night He will get into things he can reach so your home will need to be "toddler-proofed" to be safe for a pig. Taking care of a pig is similar to caring for a small child in many ways so the best-possible sitter will have previous experience with pet pigs; however, we will consider someone who is good with animals and willing to learn. Pigs can be aggressive with younger children so they must be closely supervised around kids. Notes On Availability: Needed for occasional weekends and possibly longer (1 to 2 weeks when we go on vacation.) Text me and I will follow up.
