Pet Sitter Job in Ellington, Connecticut

About The Job: Hi there my name is Judy. I am interviewing an animal caregiver living in Ellington, Connecticut. I'm planning to connect with a professional, consistent person with occasional availability. Details: I have 2 cats, McCool is 9 years old and Blanco is 3 years old. They do not get along, and live in a separated household. McCool, an orange and white Tabby, was adopted at around age 2 years at Vernon Animal Control shelter. He was a pet before being brought there. He is a people cat, but not at all cuddly. Blanco, a domestic shorthair with huge black and white areas, was a feral cat I saw in my backyard at the edge of the woods. It took me almost 6 months before I could coax him into the house to eat and take him to be neutered and vaccinated. He's turned into a real love bug, very bonded to me. But he's spooked easily by other human beings. I'd like to have 2 visits a day, morning and dinnertime/early evening, from December 21-December 30. in order to stay as close to my regular schedule as possible. I'd also like an in-person meeting in the near future and a one-day trial (for pay) to see whether the setup will work for you, as well as for my fearless (McCool) an fearful (Blanco) felines. A live-in option during my December trip is a possibility that can be discussed. I live in Ellington. I've had multi-cat families all my life. For years I've had my neighbors' children do the cat sitting for me, and I traveled at least half a dozen times a year for as long as 3 weeks at a time. Now their children are grown, and this is my first week-long trip in a couple years. And it's my first attempt to find the right cat sitter for my unique situation.
