Pet Sitter Job in Edmonton, Alberta

I'm a pet owner in the Bonnie Doon/King Edward Park area, looking for a local, reliable, and trustworthy cat-walker and -sitter to support my cat's routines twice a week. I'm looking for someone nearby in the city for reliability, schedule flexibility, and to not waste someone's driving time when sessions would generally be brief, ideally in the 1 hour range. Sessions would consist of a walk of variable intensity with a harnessed cat. On colder days may consist partially or entirely of indoor play. (Toys provided). My expectation is that I will be present to harness my cat for handoff, although ideally with time I could trust someone to do so independently when I am working late. An ideal candidate would be experienced and patient with loving but anxious and troubled cats. My cat is not dangerous, but sometimes communicate with biting when being handled distresses them, and refuses to allow their claws to be trimmed (these usually dull through walks and tree-climbing) which I understand to present risks. (Note: for walking, if I am harnessing them, this is a non-issue.) An openness toward developing a communicative rapport with my animal is essential. My expectation is that I would be present for the first few sessions to help inform and build that rapport. I'm offering $20.00 per hour inclusive of initial get-to-know.
