Pet Sitter Job in Alamogordo, New Mexico

I hope you are having a good day. This should be an easy job for you! We have 2 dogs (1 German Shepherd - about 2-2 1/2 years old, and 1 Shepkita - 1 year old). We also have 2 indoor/outdoor cats. My fiance and I are getting married and need someone to pop in to feed the dogs/make sure they have water twice a day while we are out of town. The cats will need to be fed once a day and they all share a water bowl (the cats insist on sharing the dogs water.) We have a Litter Robot that will alert us if it needs to be cleaned out while we are gone, we can go over how to quickly empty it and replace the liner if needed (it's so much easier than a normal litter box!) You probably will not even see the cats, as they will make themselves scarce when company is over. The dogs will need to be introduced to you prior to our leaving. Experience with larger dogs is a plus. We are not asking for the dogs to be walked as the German Shepherd does not meet strangers/other animals well and can be hard to handle if you are not expecting her to dart off and try to take you with her. The expectation would be 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening totaling 1 hour each day. I will make sure to leave you notes on each animal and make sure everything you need is left in one area. At the introduction meeting, we will explain how we introduce the GSD to folks and how you should enter initially. (She's a total sweetheart and loves belly rubs & playing fetch once you get over the first hurdle of meeting her and coming into her home.) Also, we will have to setup a fingerprint & pin code for you so that you can gain access inside the home. We have a couple security cameras, which will help us check in on the animals from afar.
