Job Description: Hi there my name is Sylvia. I'm looking for a Finch sitter professional working in or near Green Park or Affton, Missouri (in your own home). Duties: Do you have space for 2 flight cages each (30x18)? Each cage contains one Zebra Finch. Every morning remove cage cover. Once a day: (1) rinse water bowls and give fresh water. (2) Discard old bird seed, rinse and dry dish, and provide fresh food. Place cage cover on cage for the night. Birds should not be handled. Zebra Finches ‘talk’ almost all day. They’re good fellows. They go to sleep on their own around 8:00 at night. They’re quiet until about 8:0am the next day, or earlier if you get up and remove their cover. They bathe in one of their water bowls once or twice a day. Cages ideally should be kept in a room ranging between 70-74 degrees. They will not do well if placed near a vent with air conditioning. They are sensitive to cooler temperatures and could become sick very quickly. I need a place for April 21 - April 28th. Open to discussing pay for the 7 nights. Unfortunately, they can’t go to a home with cats. Cages will be clean with fresh bedding when they’re dropped off! Thank you for consideration.
