We are currently looking for Dog Walkers to join our team of pet loving individuals. This is an opportunity to thrive in an independent work environment, enjoy fresh air, exercise on your bicycle and walking and spend your time improving the lives of dogs and cats, while earning a living. Full time Dog Walkers should have open availability Monday through Friday at least from 10am until 4pm, there is also occasional work available in the morning, evenings and on the weekends. We look for a minimum of one year commitment. A full time dog walker would be given a specific, optimized geographic service route and schedule with regular clients and pets. Qualifications of Our Ideal Dog Walker at Green Paws Chicago: Excellent pet handling skills and intuition. You must be comfortable working with dogs of varying sizes and breeds. Prior experience with dogs and/or cats is preferred, including your own pets, volunteering at shelters, pet sitting, grooming or training (veterinary techs, groomers, trainers) Dependability and trustworthiness, strong time management skills Excellent customer service skills, able to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times Comfortable and adept at biking or scooting in an urban setting safely – Helmets are a must! Strong sense of direction and ability to navigate Chicago effectively Able to work through all seasons and weather that Chicago has to offer!
