Pet Sitter Job in Alexandria, Virginia

Hi, I'm Crystal. My husband Chris and we have 3 precious cats in need of a pet sitter while we're out of town. We live in an apartment off Richmond Hwy in south Alexandria. Our babies would appreciate someone coming by in the late afternoon (~4pm to 8pm) Saturday (5/13), Sunday (5/14) and Monday (5/15) for food, water check, and litter box cleaning (and maybe pets or plays if they're not too shy). Given that 5/14 is Mother's Day, a midday or evening visit will be good enough that day. We can give a demo of the tasks and hand keys over on Friday afternoon/evening 5/12, making it a 4 day gig. Jack, Bo, and Ty get a large scoop of dry food daily to share and 1 small can of wet food daily to share. They also make quick work of the litter box which we try to clean out daily, lest our Chaos Magnet Bo decide he'd rather go on the floor next to the litter box. They like fresh water, so we change it out every 2-3 days. The time it takes to refill the dry food, serve the wet food, check the water and clean the litter box is about 15 minutes, give or take, and maybe longer if the cats want pets and if you want to oblige. Trash bags are on the back tank of the toilet. The scooper is next to the litter box in the bathroom. The cans of wet food and paper plates are on the kitchen island (center counter). The bag of dry food is stored in the low far right cabinet of the kitchen island, closest to where the dry food dish sits. We can give the demo and hand over the keys Friday afternoon/evening, ideally, so paying for 4 days (Fri - Mon, 5/12 - 5/15). Experience with sitting cats or fellow military servicemember a plus.
