Pet Sitter Job in Gabriola, British Columbia

Hello, Occasionally my family and I leave Gabriola island, and when we do, sometimes it's not ideal to bring along our four legged brother, Omelius. Omelius is between 80-90lbs, a Catahoula Leopard Cur, 4 years old, and a bundle of joy. We are looking for a female, who feels confident in a home with a well, wood fire, cistern, and overall island living. Omelius was abused as a puppy by a close, former male friend, and because of that, doesn't take to kindly to meeting new fellas. Hence why we prefer a female. Omelius is very well trained compared to your average pup. We took Calming K9's course with Jen, a few years back, and are now remote collar trained with Omelius. It has opened up the world to us for exploring on and off the leash. Due to this, however, we require someone comfortable with learning about remote training and learning to love Omelius. He is a follower and listener to a confident leader, responds great to a determined and firm voiced human, enjoys eating a raw diet, chasing squirrels, rats, cats, -you get the idea, he hunts - and he is full of snuggles, of course. When out of town, ideally we would like someone to stay at our home with Omelius. All other information will come if we decide to move forward!
