In sum, if my pets found out they were not human, they would certainly have a rude awakening. In regards to pets and their housekeeping, I have been a fervent cleaner of pet hair and "honest indoor mistakes" since I was a child. As an allergy sufferer (I used to receive allergy shots for horses-that's how much I love them!)I know how to proficiently vacuum/clean up after our furry family members in an ascetic/non-toxic manner (my father was a microbiologist) and I am not discouraged by occasional "presents" that may be left in the house.
