Pet Sitter in Honolulu, Hawaii

Hola from Santa Fe, New Mexico at 7,500 ft above sea level! I'm moving to Oahu on June 20th to take a job with the Hawaii Attorney as a legal assistant as I study for and take the Hawaii bar exam. I'm currently an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Mexico and have been since 2008. Female, 48 years old, amicably divorced, and have been sober for 14 years. I like kids but don't have any of my own, although I consider myself a forever back up parent for my ex husband's kids, who I love. Over the years, I've fostered more than 150 kittens through a charitable organization, and after varying degrees of work depending upon the background, all became socialized and were adopted. I love all animals, and after a little get to know you period, am pretty intuitive if someone isn't feeling well. If you don't have animals, that's okay too- I can keep an eye on things, and I am not afraid to act if there's any kind of issue. I can do basic house maintenance (fix a toilet leak etc), change a tire, get an oil change, unjam a garbage disposal and other low liability handyman stuff.) I've got backup if necessary in the form of friends from the AG's Office (both families live on Oahu) as backup if necessary. I want to learn to surf well enough to have fun, even if I only get to moderately awful. My interests include audiobooks, surfing, swimming, finally learning to meditate and generally soaking up the special feeling of the island. I am content to be by myself, although not opposed to meeting neighbors and making new friends. I'm the girl who picks up stuff that others drop on the floor in stores and re-hangs them, but I'm not obsessive about it. In exchange for a place to live for a bit I can offer relief from any worry about leaving your house and/or animals with the reassurance of my safe hands and good judgment. I have no problem providing regular updates about the house/ animals/ weather/ the latest episode of Game of Thrones etc. These can be done via phone, email or both- whatever makes you feel most comfortable. I can even send pictures, but cannot guarantee that you won't get one with your dog wearing a false mustache. If you've read this far, it may be worth us having actual human communication, instead of a binary based monologue. Don't worry about wanting to call me and check out my credentials. I will not be in the least bit offended if you need more information, nor if you find a better fit with someone else. I've gone ahead and marked that I'm willing to do snow clearing although that seems unlikely.
