I began working with animals at a veterinarians clinic at the age of thirteen. I later attended University of Guelph in Ontario and majored in animal science. In my late teens and early twenties I opened my own horse sitting business and my business took of , I went to clients houses and took care of all animals including cats, dogs, horses, goats and even birds. In 2001 I became a farrier and still do this part time but had an injury and recovered very well, but gained some weight. At least five days a week I go to the acreage where I keep my 2400 pound Percheron. Train him in the morning and walk five and a half miles home with my red heeler dog Matilda. She loves to chase bunnies. I am a farrier by trade and would eventually want to get into it again but I just need to focus on getting really fit and what better way to get fit than with a dog or dogs by your side. I personally have one dog, three cats a horse and I will be babysitting a donkey to keep my horse company very soon. I can provide excellent references on request. Look forward to hearing from you.
