Pet Sitter in Smithtown, New York

Hi, my name is Emily! I am currently a student at Stony Brook University as a Biology major. I graduated from Smithtown High School West with Science and English Honors and live in Smithtown. As a kid, my dream was always to be a vet; however, now that I am in college, I have decided to pursue Physical Therapy. Prior to this, I was beginning to invest in my future as a vet. I took a three week veterinary course at Cornell University Summer College and then applied to Cornell University as an Animal Science major; I was accepted with a transfer option. Additionally, I participated in a one week Spring Break program at Suffolk County Farm in Yaphank. Moreover, I took a month-long course on the realities of being a vet through the Suffolk County Farm in which I was required to shadow a vet. Animals, especially dogs, have always been a passion of mine--I am very knowledgeable on many dog breeds. I own two Havaneses, and one of them has a heart condition and takes many pills multiple times a day. I often take care of him and give him his pills, so if any pets are on a medicine regimen, I am definitely capable of handling that. I am very flexible with times and have a high availability. The fall semester begins August 28, so my availability will decrease, but I will still be available everyday at 1 and all day on the weekends. I have some experience with pet sitting for friends and it has always been such a pleasure. I also have a lot of volunteer experience at my church where I helped out with Sunday School during the school year and Vacation Bible School during the summer. I have always been an animal person and I really do love dogs. I would be so excited to do whatever it is that I need to do to take care of anyone's pets. Thank you for your consideration!
