I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto, where I majored in integrative biology and psychology. In addition to taking courses that center around animal behaviour & physiology. I have quite a bit of experience with animals, as I have previously volunteered at an animal hospital, consequently, I have no problem administering medications, and interacting with pets that have any medical issues. I was also a foster parent with the Humane Society, and continue to volunteer in special species enrichment. I have had experience with a diverse range of species, including hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs. In terms of availability, my schedule is very flexible. I am open to just about any type of care/sitting schedule. I look forward to hearing from you! Volunteer Assistant, Animal Hospital Assist in various tasks including nail and fur trimming, pre/post surgery monitoring of respiratory and heart rate, and post-surgery clean-up. Foster Volunteer, Humane Society Provide temporary homes for animals before adoption, helping them recover from illness or injury, rehabilitate, socialize, or adapt to life at home. Assist in administering medications, monitoring weight and activity levels, and observing other behavioural and health events that may arise. Special Species Enrichment Volunteer, Humane Society Socialize with small domestic species such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters Assist in recording behavioural and health developments, including food intake and socialization tendencies. Interact with members of the public, set an example for animal care and socialization.
