Nurturing, flexible cat and dog sitter available as needed at hourly, weekly or monthly rates. My specialty lies in snuggling with pets as much as they want to or sleeping in bed with them. I'm more than happy to provide rates and services upon request since they're on a spreadsheet, so please ask if you are interested. My love for animals, pets in particular, came from my mischievous canine nephew Henry, a most gorgeous, chocolate brown Dachshund whom I sat for a few years. Recently, I was also a cat owner to 2 kitties for a brief time and I absolutely loved every second of it. Overall, I gained a variety of pet sitting experiences from different personal situations in my life over the last 10-20 years. Many roommates’ pets became affectionate with me so it was hard not to reciprocate their love and by default I gained experience in these ways. Here's a brief sampling of what I've done: I have experience with using a harness on a big mutt named Diesel while walking him. He didn’t like many people but he was a big softie with me and would often come lie in bed with me even though he was my roommate’s dog! I was never scared of Diesel and he was very obedient with me. Jenni’s cat was overweight so he was put on a diet. He slept right on top of my head for months and I don’t know why but it never bothered me! Then there was Adam’s cat Roman who would keep me company in my bedroom or learning to discipline Tootsie when she wants to pull me hard or letting Kit in and out of the apartment. Murf has special needs because of his hip problem and he has to take medicine in his water. He loves having his chin rubbed and he will plop his butt on you as he pleases! When I lived in New York, I watched my employers’ cat Zoe when they went out of town and I had to give her insulin shots. One of my favorite things to do is to take self-portraits of me and these endearing moments with pets, and I love sharing them with their owners! I love sending photos along with cute updates because I know what it's like to miss your pets when you're away. I will shower your pets with much love as if they were my own because I know how precious they are to us. I am a people person and am always connecting people, so most likely I will introduce you to your neighbors if you haven't met them and/or I will become known as The Neighborhood Watch as evidenced in some neighborhoods I've stayed in!
