I am young and energetic with a love for animals of all shapes and sizes! I've owned, cared for and trained a number of great dogs, including two boisterous Rottweilers, an absolute sweetheart of a German Shepherd, an adorable Husky pup just learning to walk with a leash, and my mom's happy-go-lucky Goldendoodle, and that's just to name a few! I currently own a ball python and have experience feeding FT. I also have three awesome pet rats who I love to play with. My cat, Dia, is eight pounds of moody, adorable, fuzzball energy. In the past, I have owned gerbils, goldfish, a rabbit and a hamster. I also have experience volunteering on an animal-based therapy farm called Nova's Ark. There, I cared for and interacted with a whole host of creatures including the usual farm animals - goats, pigs, cows, chickens, horses and donkeys - but also some unusual beasts such as a camel, a zebra, a monkey, ring-tailed lemurs, and tropical birds! As a mature student at Durham College, I am currently 100% free for the entire summer. My partner (also an animal-lover) and I own a big house with a great backyard in North Oshawa. It's just down the street from a quiet park with a soccer field perfect for playing catch, and just a few blocks away is a really nice dog park. It's a fantastic place for some socialization time with other friendly dogs! The house also has plenty of space for different types of animals to be secured safely away from each other (I would never place rodents and snakes in the same room!). In addition to my love of animals and animal-related experience, I am also a professional care-taker by trade. I am a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW). Normally, PSW's care for humans by assisting them with meal preparation, housework, and other activities of daily living such as grooming and socialization. As a pet sitter, I will provide you and your animal with the professionalism of a PSW. This includes punctuality, reliability, a clear criminal background check, including vulnerable sector, and adherence to the care plan. Your pet is a unique individual with individual needs and I would never presume to know more about him or her than you, the owner. As such, I will stick diligently to your instructions when your pet is in my care, including, but not at all limited to, a feeding schedule, delivering any medication your animal may require, and, in the case of a dog, reenforcing any rules he or she may be required to obey at home (such as not jumping up on people/furniture or waiting for a signal before eating). I have a car and a valid "G" driver's licence. I am to travel to and from your house to provide services and could transport your pet to and from appointments if necessary. I hold myself to the highest standard and promise you and your pet excellent service.
