Hi! I'm looking for daycare and overnight lodging (anywhere from 1-2 nights to extended lengths) dog sitting jobs in the Champlin area. I live near Anoka and Rapids and am open to those areas, too. I have 18 years in dog care experience. Some experience is from having two dogs, a lot also comes from volunteering experience and dog sitting experience I've had in the past and present. My experience includes experience with dogs that have special needs. I'm experienced in giving injections, especially insulin. I have experience with administering other medications as well. I'm careful medication accurately (as prescribed, the correct dose, checking that it's the right medication again. and consistently on time). I'm knowledgeable and experienced in preparation and feeding raw food diets and homemade cooked diets. I'm certified in CPR for dogs, performing the Heimlich maneuver, and basic first aid for dogs. I also enjoy playtime and/or a good walk. For days that it's rainy, snowing and really cold, I have indoor toys to play with and throw to still get playtime in. For dogs that are more into being snuggly and are less active, depending on what you and your dog usually do, maybe a short walk around a block in the neighborhood or a little playtime and lots of snuggling, I'm always up for dog snuggles. I have transportation as well as a safety harness (and a booster seat that's like a dog bed but also attaches to the safety harness so they're comfy and can see out of the window and for anxious dogs I think it makes them feel safe) for toy sized dogs and another for dogs up to 25 pounds). I live in an apartment, it's just me and my husband. No other dogs currentlly, no kids. It's a 2br apartment that's pretty good sized, it's around 1250 sq ft so there's a decent amount of room for playing and running around. I can only take dogs 25 pounds or less. The yard area is unfenced so I always keep dogs on a leash. To go and explore outside I use a retractable leash and keep a close eye on them. I only take one dog at a time. The only exceptions I'd consider are for daycare, overnight stays that are <1 week, if they are well trained and not high energy, and neither are puppies. Thanks!
