Pet Sitter in The Woodlands, Texas

I'm an
Individual
Thank you for reaching out to me. My name is Beth and I am very much looking forward to meeting you and your fur-ever family. Pet-sitting, walking, feeding, litter changing, I have lots of experience in, personally from our own pets or helping out my neighbor and friend who lived near my work. I would run over and let her Great Dane out at noonish. I have lived in The Woodlands since 1993 and we have always had pets until 2014 when we lost two the same year. They were my grown children's pets, but remained with me through their College years, one, an active Career Officer in the Military, bought of their marriages and of course at that time, they became all mine, but I did share nicely. I am a young Grandmother to seven Grandblessings, six of the seven are boys so I have seen it all. They range from 13 to 1. The 13 yr old is the only girl. I am partial to Australian-Blue Healer Mixes and Chocolate Siamese Cats because we have always had Chocolate Siamese Cats (ever since I was a young girl) and our dog found my son who has multiple disabilities (and still lives with us) when the dog was 7 yrs 4 mos old.. his name was Bandit. He had a collar and tags on, so we called the vet who was listed; he told us Bandit's name, tried to call the owner and the phone was unlisted. I even called the operator to ask her to please call them and tell them we had their dog. After one month, we called the vet back and told him Bandit was ours now...I think God had that planned all along, just for my son to have that special bond. They were inseparable. If I had to dog sit any time, I could hear Bandit sigh all night long. He was so upset he couldn't be with my son. Although he was older when he found my son, he kept up like a pup until one day he didn't want to jump in the car or eat a piece of cheese. He used to open the refrigerator himself and get his own cheese, by the way. He was a genius! Truly, so incredibly smart. In all seriousness, we rushed him to the vet right then and his kidneys had began to shut down. No warning. He lived with us for 5 wonderful years; longer than the vet told us his breed lives, and even got along with the cats. It was hard to see him go because of the bond he had with my son and our love for him too. My Siamese was 16 1/2 the same year and he developed Megacolon. After a year of taking him to the vet every other day to flush his bowels, buying compound meds every month and us giving him IV fluids everyday, the vet said it was time to let him go. She knew my job had me travel so much and even if a sitter brought him to the vet every other day, she said to me "what if she doesn't come"? I knew she may be right. My husband had long hours or would travel with me and the group I was taking on vacation or to a conference for my work. I knew in my heart she was right. Otherwise, he was in perfect health, including all of his teeth. I really miss not having pets. This time, we are going to adopt from the pound when my son finds his perfect friend. Well, I sincerely thank you for the fur-therapy session...If we meet, I will bring cheese and we can share with your pup...my cats liked it too. Have a lovely evening. Beth
