I pride myself on providing a great experience for both owner and pet. ***Please note the following rate changes: *Holidays and Holiday Weekends (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas): $20 to total bill *Additional dogs in the same household: $10 per each additional dog *Also, I am not accepting clients in the Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, or Bedford-Stuyvesant areas at this time. Informed and comfortable: Prior to caring for your pet, I offer a free in-home consultation so that I can meet you and your pets and learn of any health issues, behavioral quirks, and walking/care preferences. I send a daily email or text (depending on which method you prefer) to update you on your pets' well-being. Safety-oriented, mindful care: For cats, I am careful to adhere precisely to your feeding preferences. When caring for dogs, I always have a back-up collar or harness handy in case the primary collar breaks. I make sure your pet doesn't pickup anything that will make them ill and am careful to keep an eye out for anything that may upset or provoke your dog, such as children, joggers, or unpredictable other dogs. I never wear headphones or text when out caring for your pet. Ruth D.'s Experience: I am a full-time dog walker and a long-time animal lover. Tell us about your history with dogs. In addition to growing up alongside many dogs and cats, I currently work as a full-time dog walker in Brooklyn. Yes, though I ask that detailed instructions be given beforehand. Are you willing to do additional tasks at my home while I'm away (e.g., water plants, bring in the mail)? I am happy to do things of that variety for free. How much time do you plan on spending with my dog each day? Dogs in my care receive two 30 minute walks a day & a midday bathroom break. All pet sitting appointments include twice a day feedings, litter scooping for cats, wee-wee pad changes for puppies, administration of any required medication, plant watering, mail fetching, and unlimited belly rubs. I am a homebody and love curling up on the couch with a good book and tea, so your dog will have plenty of regular company around the house.
