Pet Sitter in Fort Collins, Colorado

Dear Sally, Greetings! My name is Joshua Dorland. I am 22 years of age and recently moved here to Fort Collins approximately 6 months ago. I love the town, the university, and mostly the population of kind individuals. I believe I would be an excellent addition to your organization mainly because I have always been around cats and dogs in my own home growing up and through the friends I have met. I have no experience working for a pet caring organization, but have had a lot of experience caring for pets. One thing I have noticed in life is that animals seem to click with me. I have been around several animals "claimed" to be mean and bite a lot, yet they always get along with me as if they already highly trust me. I have never been bitten by any animal other than my very first pet hamster Snowball, which only happened when I hand fed her veggies. I am very gentle when getting to know an animal, always let them come up to me first before reaching out. I am also an eagle scout, and thought it might interest you that I did my eagle project on building an agility course for the dogs down at paws-for-life in pueblo Colorado. I chose this project so the dogs there get taken out of the kennels and cages more often to go outside, run around and play. I would enjoy this opportunity also because I miss my furry pals back home since I have moved and would love the chance to meet and care for others!
