Pet Sitter in Chicago, Illinois

Although I do not have any experience in "dog care" per say, I have owned and loved a black lab named Shadow up until Dec 2016 with all of my heart. I miss him dearly and hope to be able to take care of another one day, but for now I am ecstatic at the idea of facilitating and nurturing others' furry friends. I enjoy a fairly active lifestyle but I am also a home body and would rather spend quiet time with animals than with people most days. I believe animals should not be caged up however, they should have ample walking time and the freedom to play, and above all- should be treated as the conscious, emotionally intelligent, affectionate, loyal, and (sometimes) cuddly beings that they are. I currently work as a server in the Bucktown area, my schedule changes every week and I am usually busy on weekends, however, I am free in the morning every weekday and most weeknights. I am still available to pet sit on Fridays and Saturdays with the exception that I will not be available from around 3-11pm. Please feel free to contact me for details. My more relevant work includes working as a swim instructor and lifeguard for children of all ages. I understand how to maintain the focus of energetic, youthful minds and how to keep control of my own emotions in the process. I look forward to applying my experience with children to expanding my knowledge in animal care.
