Pet Sitter in Chicago, Illinois

My 7-year-old son (soon to be 8 years old) really wants a dog, but our schedules don't ideally allow for that on a full-time basis (though we do have a house and a yard). Either way, he asked me to look into Chicago Dog Sharing, to see if someone would let him watch or walk their dog for free, I guess on a semi-regular basis. I've heard of this concept in other cities, but I don't see much evidence online of such a community program here in Chicago. So, I'm just posting on this website to see what happens. He really wants a dog to watch or to help out with, ideally in the Wicker Park/Ukrainian Village/Smith Park area (or somewhere nearby). Not sure exactly how it would work out, but let me know if you are a dog owner interested in discussing the idea.
