I am a true believer in good owners= good dogs. I have been training dogs for almost five years now, and most of my work has been volunteer based for friends and family. I am well versed in redirection of unwanted behaviors turning them into more desirable behaviors. I help with building strong bonds and gaining trust, if you can trust your dog and they can trust you training and behavioral issues tend to become easier to deal with. I love a challenge and so when someone comes to me with a seemingly impossible to fix problem I jump right in and start. I would never claim that turning problem behaviors around will be easy or quick- it will take time and lots of effort especially if the dog you are working with is no longer a puppy but it is most definitely worth it. Old dogs can learn new tricks and so can people- training your dog is as much about our furry little babies as it is about us. I help people overcome the roadblocks they set up in their minds when it comes to training their dogs. I love the very smart and sometime stubborn breeds of dogs like Terriers for a couple of reasons; they are usually a bit more challenging and they have a drive to please. Finding what makes your dog want to learn is what I do, every dog has its own personality, area of improvement and most importantly learning style. My favorite part of dog training is when a dog makes improvements even if they are subtle- because if the pet parents see little improvements it seems to motivate them... Problem behaviors do not have to be a problem and they don't have to ruin your relationship with your furry friends- if anything overcoming these issues together builds a bond like no other.
