Pet Sitter in Chicago, Illinois

Hello! My name is Kelly and I am an experienced dog walker/pet sitter here in Chicago! I currently service the Wicker Park, Bucktown, and Old Town neighborhoods. I started dog walking at the age of 10 years old, and continued to do so during high school. After graduating, I worked for one of the top pet sitting agencies in Chicago for four years! I now run my own dog walking/pet sitting company in Wicker Park. I absolutely love what I do, and can't imagine myself doing anything else! Daily dog walks are something I genuinely enjoy! I love walking my seven year old Pug/Jack Russell/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, Bonita. I've had her since she was five weeks old, and she taught me everything I needed to know about raising a puppy into adulthood, and on! She is leash-aggressive which has helped me learn how to handle situations that may make her, or other dogs with the same issue, uncomfortable. It's important the dogs I'm walking are 100% happy and comfortable on our walks! During my dog walking career, I have worked with dogs as small as mini Cavapoos, and as large as Irish Wolfhounds. Eight week old puppies to 16 year old dogs! One thing I love about my job is how many dogs I've come to meet, and how many breeds I've come to learn! The best part about dogs is that they're ALWAYS happy to see people- no matter what. Dogs also each have their own personalities, which means they have their own specific needs, and that is something that I cater to. Cats are also a favorite of mine! I've grown up with cats since childhood, one of my first cats being an obese, diabetic, blind, orange tabby! He taught me a lot about patience, and was my first exposure to a cat with medical needs. I now have two senior cats and two year old kittens- a 13 year old with hyperthyroidism, a 12 year old sweet heart, and my two siblings, Noella and Dimitri. During my time as a pet sitter, I have worked with many cats over the years, and I have so many great memories with all of them! The best part about cats is that they love to sit back and relax- which is such a treat in this hectic (but fun!) industry. I have experience administering sub-q's, insulin, and medication for sickly pets and pets with anxiety/mood disorders. I send daily texts after each and every visit with photos!
