All my life, I have been around and lived with pets. While most of my experience has been with dogs and horses, I also enjoy the company of cats. During my childhood and youth, I lived with my family in the country. We always had two dogs to keep us company. We have enjoyed all breeds, and have had our own Alaskan Malamute, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Shetland Sheepdog, Bassador and variety of mixed breeds. While pursuing post-secondary education, I lived in a household that loved their Labrador Retriever, Golden Doodle and group of cats. Now, I have my own Shetland Sheepdog who enjoys trips to the farm, dog park, long walks and play sessions. I have worked with animals for the past ten years of my life. Currently, I am employed as the Assistant Barn Manager at a local equestrian training facility. Here, I am responsible for the care of up to 20 horses, often on my own for up to a week. I have many years experience petsitting, and can provide various positive references. I am comfortable with dogs (and cats) of various sizes and temperaments. I have looked after Golden Retrievers, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Great Danes, English Mastiffs and more. I am available for daily check-ins, pet feeding, administering medicine, walks, and overnight stays. You will be confident leaving your pet in the care of someone who treats your pet as their own!
