Pet Sitter in Missoula, Montana

Hi there! I've been a pet sitter for about two years now, working on and off for family friends in the Frenchtown area. The longest time period I house and pet sat for was 10 days while my friend's family was away for vacation. I have mostly pet sat small dogs (i.e. Corgis) and cats, but I absolutely adore large dogs. My own family has a black lab, Hank, and three cats. We also recently adopted a bird as well. I have grown up on a small modest farm in the Missoula area, so I also have cared for chickens, turkeys, and ducks even. I am 19 years old, and have recently completed my first year of college at MSU of Bozeman. I am studying Environmental Sciences, specifically Soil and Water Ecology. I am currently hired at the YWCA of Missoula as an AmeriCorps VISTA for the GUTS! program, or Girls Using Their Strengths, where I will be assisting my supervisors in organizing and preparing the various necessities for the camps I will be leading. We lead girls into the wondrous outdoors of Western Montana, both front and back country, and help them to get involved in community volunteer work, and promote positive self-expression and positive body image. I have been a part of this program for seven years now. I absolutely adore the dogs I have cared for, and I rarely give up the opportunities to become acquainted with other dogs. Overall, I would consider myself a dog lover! My favorite part about the job is being able to spend time with the animals, whether it's playing in the yard or merely sitting on the floor with them when winding down for the day.
