Pet Sitter in Walton, New York

My name is Savanah and I'm currently studying veterinarian technology at Delhi, but I do rent a home on an acre of land in Walton, NY year round! I've graduated with a 2 year certificate in Animal Science from Brookhaven Technical School in 2013, as well. I'm skilled in working with all animals. I've been working with animals since 2009, and have never had a job outside of animal care since. My first volunteer job was at a shelter starting in 2009, stretching until 2013, where it focused on rehabilitation and retraining of cats and dogs, as well as other small companion pets. My next job was at East Quogue Wildlife Rescue, where I worked doing animal husbandry and educating kids (as young as 4, to as old as 14) who attended our summer camp program on local wildlife and the animals in our care. I worked with local wildlife here, including snakes, fish, exotic bugs in our care, and others such as our birds of prey, including a one-winged Bald Eagle and Peregrine Falcons, among other injured non-domestic animals. I have since worked at other wildlife refuges in a rehabilitate and release setting. I've also worked at a specialty pet store specifically with fresh-water aquariums, reptiles, rodents, exotic bugs, and birds, spanning the range from tropical to cold-water fish to giant Savannah monitors and even things as small as the roborovski hamster. Nothing shakes me when it comes to animals, I've done it all! My latest job was at a high end dog groomer in Southampton, right before I moved up here last summer. I can also provide bathing, coat trimming, de-shedding, ear cleaning, gland expression, and nail clipping if asked for!
