Hi! My name is Kelly! At Halter & Harness we are dedicated to loving your pet almost as much as you do! As pet owners and lovers ourselves we pledge to show the same care and attention to your family members as we do to ours! Let's face it, when it comes to having to leave your pets, whether it be for work or for a vacation it can be very worrisome! When I was a young child we boarded our dog while we were away on vacation. Upon arriving home, we were told he had a heart attack and was deceased. I still remember that day so vividly, I was heart broken, and I vowed to myself that I would never put one of my dogs in a kennel. To this day, nearly 40 years later, I have kept that vow.....and boy was it hard! For years I had 3 dogs and I also owned a small horse farm in northeastern Connecticut where I kept 3 horses of my own, as well a few boarders. Have you ever tried to go on vacation with that amount of animals to have cared for? I hope you never have to! The stress was unparalleled! There was usually two courses of action: beg a friend to stay over and help out which cost an arm...OR....board the horses at a nearby facility and the dogs at a kennel which cost an arm AND a leg, not too mention the question or their health and mentality from being away from home (the dogs I am referring to, the horses could care less) .
