Pet Sitter in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Hello, my name is Richard and I feel that pets are a vital extension of our families. I believe strongly in the importance of responsible pet adoption and have volunteered many hours helping to raise monies for a local rescue organization. This organization uses a network of foster homes, which serve as a loving and safe environment until a permanent loving home is identified. I also believe in responsible breeding and the crucial knowledge resulting from animal husbandry. They all need homes despite their roots. I am very flexible with hours, but for short time frames (e.g. letting your pet out at lunch, etc.), I will only consider jobs in a 5-mile radius. The fee for this service is $15.00/hour, with a minimum cost of $15.00 I am also available for longer assignments, whether it is staying with your pet during your workday, or need help while you are going on vacation and don't want to kennel. I have had dogs most of my life....big and small. My wife and I rescued two pure-bred lhasa apsos, (one was a show dog, the other her pup). We loved Maggie and Ginger and miss them to this day, but feel peace in the knowledge that they lived out their entire lives with us until their time passed. We are very responsible pet owners, being sure that all of our pets are chipped and always up-to-date with their necessary shots. We believe that a pup (I don't like the word dog so much) needs not only walks, but also play-times. My wife and I spend time playing outdoor games, such as (chase the squeaky toy), etc. every day. If weather does not permit, we find fun things to do inside. I look forward to speaking with you about your pet/s and their needs for care when you are not home. I will give them my full attention per your instructions. Please feel free to contact me...and if it makes you feel more confident that I will give your pet the same loving attention that our current pup, Baggins, receives, I am glad to meet with you at your convenience. Emergencies do happen (unfortunately), and as a retired critical care nurse I recognize signs of distress which require an immediate visit to the vet, or the PET emergency center in Lancaster city. I even did "kittie" CPR once on the way to the vet in the middle of the night. I thank you for your love of and responsible care of your pet/s. and hope to help you in the future.
