Im LaToya Williams and I am a senior at North Central High School. I graduate May 28, 2014 with a Core 40 Diploma. I love music,making people happy, food, of course animals, family and friends. I like to think that people should always smile and have a small talk with others because you never know what they are going through and by you talking to them and giving a complement just might be the highlight of their day. I am attending my second year of Veterinary Assitanting class at a career center called J Everett Light Career Center. In my first year, I was the class Historian and now I am the the class Vice-President. In my first year I learned the basics of how to take care of an animal such as, how to bathe them to how to properly administer their medication. This year I learned how to draw blood and to give diabetic animals their insulin. I have over 100 clinical hours in which I know the basic care of "pocket pets" like rabbits, hamster, ferrets, and even birds. I've also worked with horses. I have a special bond with a white Thoroughbred horse name Luna who was abused because she didn't win alot of horse races.This makes me want to work with her even more just to let her know that not all humans are bad and she is special. Along with taking a career class, I work at Michigan Road Animal Hospital at Crooked Creek. I've been a Veternarian Assitanting here for about 11 months now.
