Even though my background has been extensive in the administrative field I have life experience in the care of animals of all kinds. I have always felt very close to animals and have not had at least one type in my life at all times. I have no children of my own and so my dog and cats are my children and I am very devoted to each one. Our dog Chewy is a Boxer mix, he\'s a big dog but he\'s a big softy and very precious to us. We are surrounded by neighbours who have dog\'s and Chewy is the father figure for all of them. We even had to put in gates between two of our neighbour\'s yards to give better access to more space for all of the dogs to run around in but even so, they all end up over here even if they have access to more. Each dog is also friendly with our cats as well as our dog friendly with other cats in the neighbourhood. Having grown up on a farm I\'m used to taking care of horses, cows, chickens, goats as well as birds & fish. I love big dogs and little dogs alike and to be able to help others in the care of their precious fur babies would be an honour and a priviledge. I grew up on a farm and have always had animals that were in my care. I volunteered at the Maple Ridge SPCA walking dogs and for the last 4 years have looked after the dogs of friends, coworkers and neighbours in their homes as well as my own.
