Pet Sitter in West Des Moines, Iowa

My name is Tysa, I am looking to help walk dogs, pet sit while people are on vacation, let pets out to go potty or just go in and play with them for an hour or so if they need that extra bit of people interaction. I'm even willing to just come and pick up the poop if that's what you need. You must live in or near West Des Moines (WDM, Clive, Urbandale, Windsor Heights). If you live further than that, it will probably cost extra due to gas. I am 21 years old, and I do have experience working with all kinds of animals. I volunteered at the ARL for about a year and also volunteered at The Academy of Wildlife Education at Merle Hay Mall (the place with the wolves) for a year (though it feels like much longer with everything that I learned). Thus, I have been around and helped care for both domestic and exotic pets (even skunks). I also bear sat a 2 month old black bear over night so I'd like to think I'm up for most challenges. I do require a signed contract (to protect both parties), pet information sheet, as well as a vet release so that if needed I can take the pet to the vet. I am just starting this "business" so I currently do not have set rates. Things that will factor into the price would be: Distance Whether or not it is considered exotic How easily the animal is handled. Duties involved (food, water, medications, etc..) Time spent with animal. Despite those factors, I do try to keep my prices as reasonable as possible and I am willing to discuss the rates with you. I am also willing to do some discounts. Ex: If you have two dogs and I charge you $X for the first dog, any additional dog would be half that price. I do prefer to meet you and the animal before starting whatever job I'll be doing, at which time we will further discuss payment and you can ask me any questions you have.
