I’m Rhonda. I was medically retired from the Army in 2010. I went back to college and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science while raising two young children. My kids are now teenagers and I have lots of free time to fill. I have been the dog mom to three rescues dogs since 2010. My first rescue Nate crossed the rainbow bridge last summer at the age of 15. My second girl, Joey, who was my road dog and accompanied me everywhere passed unexpectedly. I had a friend watch her and her young child let Joey outside. She was hit by a car and passed away before I could get there. I was devastated and know personally how important it is to have a safe and reliable environment for our fur family. I currently have a one year old hound mix named Neno who I spend my days with. I’ve traveled quite a bit. On my last road trip I rescued a sweet girl, I named Zoey, from a gas station in the desert of New Mexico. She ended up being pregnant and I worked with a close friend who runs a rescue to provide Zoey and her 5 pups with vet care and love until they all found their furever homes. Our fur babies are our family. I understand how important it is to know they are being loved and looked after and the peace of mind that brings. I am here to offer that peace of mind. Being retired I have the time to give your fur babies the attention, love, playtime and exercise they deserve.

Factors that impact pet sitting cost

Planning a trip as a pet owner? Hiring a pet sitter is an excellent solution for care for your furry friend. Before you hire a pet sitter, it's important to understand the factors that affect the cost of their services:

  • Time and Duration - Pet sitters usually charge either a daily or hourly rate. The length of time you require care for will affect your final costs. Many pet sitters will also offer package deals and discounts for longer bookings.
  • Your pet’s needs - Consider the frequency of your dog's walks, or your cat's feeding schedule. Different services will have different prices. Some pet sitters also offer extra services like administering medication, grooming, or even behavioral training, which may increase the cost.
  • Location - The cost of pet care will range across the country city-by-city depending on the cost of living in your city area.
  • Years of Experience - The level of experience of the pet sitter will also have a factor on pricing. More experienced sitters, with professional backgrounds in behavioural or medical training may charge a higher rate, than a less specialized sitter.
