Hi! I'm Angelica, 28 and I am new to Capreol! I am looking for opportunities to take care of animals. I have roughly sixteen years of experience with animals in various capacities. I have owned a pet and I have pet sit many times, primarily for family and friends. I have looked after various cats, across various breeds, ages, and genders. I am generally good with cats and their temperaments. I have also cared for dogs, two breeds; a viszla and a pomernian. The viszla on an on-going basis for a busy couple for four years while I lived in Toronto and I pet sat/cared for the pomeranian when I was younger for 3 weeks while her owners were travelling. I regularly watched my roommate's cat whenever she was away from home every other week over the course of two years. I am easy going and I love animals. I will listen carefully to you for any instructions/rules or routines you have in place and make sure to provide your pet with consistency. My aim is to gain your pet's trust the first time we meet. I respect our furry friends and know the basics of how to handle different cat and dog breeds/temperaments. I am not a specialist when it comes to behaviour, please reach out to me if you're interested only if your dog or cat does not have behavioural "problems" and does not pose any serious danger to strangers. I look forward to hearing from you!

Factors that impact pet sitting cost

Planning a trip as a pet owner? Hiring a pet sitter is an excellent solution for care for your furry friend. Before you hire a pet sitter, it's important to understand the factors that affect the cost of their services:

  • Time and Duration - Pet sitters usually charge either a daily or hourly rate. The length of time you require care for will affect your final costs. Many pet sitters will also offer package deals and discounts for longer bookings.
  • Your pet’s needs - Consider the frequency of your dog's walks, or your cat's feeding schedule. Different services will have different prices. Some pet sitters also offer extra services like administering medication, grooming, or even behavioral training, which may increase the cost.
  • Location - The cost of pet care will range across the country city-by-city depending on the cost of living in your city area.
  • Years of Experience - The level of experience of the pet sitter will also have a factor on pricing. More experienced sitters, with professional backgrounds in behavioural or medical training may charge a higher rate, than a less specialized sitter.
