I may not have Rover experience, but I've grown up taking care of my elderly Pomeranian and sit very often for my boyfriends family's dog (a lab/dachshund mix) when his family goes away. Ever since I was young, I've always felt such a deep connection with animals. My neighbors had 4 cats and they eventually were always at my porch because I would pet them for hours and hours. My first dog was an elderly Pomeranian, Missy, who we got when she was about 10 years old. She lost all her teeth and became deaf and blind towards the end of her life, so I have a lot of experience with senior dogs and enjoy them very much. The apartment I live in now doesn't allow dogs which makes me so sad, but I've become besties with my boyfriends' little dog, Leia, after dog/house-sitting for his families trips. We go on walks often together and to the dog park. She used to be extremely anxious around other dogs, but my persistence in socializing her with other dogs has helped improve her demeanor around other dogs SO MUCH. I wish so badly I could have dog or cat of my own, and pet-sitting is the next best thing to that. What would communication be like with me? My standard if I was dog sitting in your house is to update you at least 2x with pictures. Of course, if you need more communication or less, we can discuss that before.
