I truly believe that when owners are away, it is important to keep the pets in their own environment, routine, etc. As separation anxiety really affects most pets, even if they are used to their owners being gone at times, I care for the animals just as you would. I want to know what their routines are; do they like sleeping with you, going with you? I don't change any of that. I follow my clients' instructions to a tee.
